Josh Dasal, Founder and Producer

If asked to describe Josh in a word, we’d go with “creative.” If allowed two more, we’d add “good egg.”

Josh founded Kaboonki back in 2016. A University of Southern California film school master’s graduate, he’s spent more than 20 years directing and producing video-driven storytelling across nearly every format—film, TV, radio, web, social, and podcasts.

Even that oddity the old-timers call “print.”

Along the way, he’s garnered Emmy and Telly awards for his video work, sharpening his craft through agency work for brands like IBM, ADP, Lenovo, Lowe’s, and Johnson & Johnson, as well as projects for PBS, Discovery Channel, and legendary director Wes Craven.

The throughline has always been the same: strong visual storytelling that turns complex ideas into clear, compelling, and watchable work.

Now, through Kaboonki, he brings that same mix of craft and momentum to marketing agencies and individual clients seeking high-quality video.

In real life, he’s a dad, a husband, and, every so often, a snappy dresser.

You can relax. He’s older than he looks. He’s got this.
